Two of the family Corlett are in this photo. So exciting tosee them. Other members came to Australia Maryanne Corlette married John PYE who isn’t in any photos. So descended from two of the Four Ships.

My X2 great- grandmother Emma Finch emigrated to NZ on the Sir George Seymour. She was a 15 yr old orphan at the time .
She would have travelled to NZ with the people in the “surviving passengers “ photograph that was taken in 1900.
We think she may have travelled to NZ with Thomas and Mary Graham and their children, Joseph, Mary, Foundey and Henry Charles.
We know while in NZ she lived in Lyttelton , wellington, Richmond Nelson.
Emma was married twice – to Charles Hoare ( Charles died shortly after they were married , they had a daughter ) and also to David Watson, they had x5 sons and x2 daughters. Charles remains a mystery we know very little about him, other than he was a seaman. There is alot of confirmed family history for David Watson, his descendants and ancestors.
Sadly Emma died in Lyttelton December 1873 at the age of 39.
She had recently left David Watson and travelled to Lyttelton.
We are unsure of who she was staying with when she died.
It is thought that some of her children were with her.
She is buried in an unmarked grave in section C of the Lyttelton Anglican cemetery. Holy Trinity Church in lyttelton records her death.
    Emma has many descendants .
Her ancestry however at this time remains a mystery.
Currently we do not have a photograph of Emma.

    INFO BELOW IS TBC
Her father is thought to be George Finch, that he may have been a soldier That he may have served at Chatham barracks, Kent , England.
In the time period that fits with Emma’s birth x2 george finches were at Chatham barracks.
Birth and death date of one of the Georges fits with what we know of Emma. It still however needs TBC
Family history also mentions the family living in Ireland and Paris. This needs tbc also.
