Original information:
Records show that this is Sarah, nee Hill, but there was no Sarah Hill on the ship lists. It is likely that she is a member of the Hill family; if so, see Charles O Hill. Mrs Chick was apparently living in Fendalton in 1900.

Readers’ response:
According to sources, this is Sarah Browning Hill and she married Peter Chick in 1875. 1 According to the family, Sarah Browning Hill was born January 21, 1850, at Gloucester. Mrs Chick’s husband, Peter, was a market gardener. They lived in Burnside and a family member thinks later at Clarendon Terrace.

According to a family member, the confusion over Sarah Hill not being on the passenger lists is because she was originally christened Frances but changed her name to Sarah. 2
